About Dr. Joan

Dr. Joan Berry, Your Wealth CoachDr. Joan Berry is a teacher-coach who has devoted her life to helping people who are committed to creating wealthier, happier, and more successful lives. She has a gift for understanding what it takes to transform lives. For more than 30 years she has developed unique transformational programs for adults… always teaching, guiding, coaching classes and individuals and moving them toward wholeness.

“I realized that individuals yearn for richer, more fulfilled lives and they want practical ways to make that happen,” says Dr. Joan. “They want a step-by-step proven method that clears their path so they can have what they want.”

“My ability to take the spiritual and translate it into the practical to assist people in creating the lives they want is what inspires me to continue my work. I love what I do.”

Joan is a popular speaker on how to harness the power of the unconscious mind to work for you, not against you. Many people approach self-help and goal setting half-heartedly or avoid the process entirely. Why? Because they are afraid to fail? “More so,” says Joan, “because they’re afraid to succeed! But life does not have to be a struggle. Self-defeating thoughts, beliefs, and emotions can be eliminated easily and quickly, opening up your path to joy and abundance.”

Joan’s book, Fast-Track to Wealth and Abundance: The Secret to Creating the Life You Want NOW, is a fascinating and clear account of how to “Live Life Rich.” Because she understands that people need and want practical guidance, she wrote a companion Playbook, with step-by-step instructions for designing a life of wealth, abundance and success.

The traditional advice – “feel the fear and do it anyway” – works for only the most resolute – a small handful who can overcome all odds (and withstand the stress) to become successful. Instead of recommending will power and determination, Joan introduces gentle yet remarkably effective energy psychology techniques to eliminate the negative and self-defeating blocks that deprive you of your best. Life does not have to be a struggle!

Her programs are both unique and effective. Again and again people report developing the personal congruence necessary for peak performance. One of the most important skills her students learn is how to communicate with the unconscious mind – the seat of 95% of the mind’s power. Accessing that power changes everything.

The genius of Joan’s work lies in the concept of Fast-Tracking. In the early 90s, she became convinced that a sizable market existed for an MBA program for the working adult. At that time the business school at Harvard was considering departing from a 300-year tradition by integrating their traditional “sacred cow” MBA curriculum, giving the signal that universities were ready to consider non-traditional, integrated programs on the graduate level. At the same time, for every 600 people applying to the top MBA schools like Harvard and Wharton, only one was being admitted, so Joan decided to serve the unmet needs of the other 599.

On the merits of her research, Joan persuaded a university in Philadelphia to hire her to design what turned out to be a unique graduate program which she called the Fast-Track MBA. Its innovative curriculum, collaborative learning environment, and unique delivery system were tailored especially for working adults. The orientation was “real-world” and results-based rather than merely academic and theoretical. Students loved its convenience and team-based instruction. Employers loved the improvement in skill and performance. The program continues to be an enormous success and has been copied by other universities across the country.

Her reputation for thinking big began to spread. Upon hearing about her work, a graduate university in Virginia hired her to create an undergraduate business and leadership program built on personal effectiveness principles and an accelerated format. She designed a program in a format for delivery over the web, one to rival the University of Phoenix. Then it happened. While enrolling students for the first class on campus, she was contacted by an international organization wanting to offer an accelerated, online, spiritually-based business program to their members’ employees. At that time, the organization had more than 750,000 member companies worldwide. Her biggest dream had come true!

Armed with her own unique goal-setting process and all she had come to understand about peak performance, success, and creating wealth, she set out once again to design a program for ordinary people – people who are frustrated with the slow progress they are making in growing their income or who are looking for a clear strategy for a successful, financially independent life. Naturally, it was to be built on the Fast-Track format.

The remarkable successes of her initial clients convinced her of the value of her program. Each person experienced a sustainable improvement in personal performance. They consistently increased their income, quickly and sometimes dramatically; they significantly reduced doubt and anxiety; they enjoyed a greater sense of direction, meaning, and purpose; and they learned the tools and skills needed to live a life of joy, confidence and financial freedom.

Joan is a sought-after presenter. Audiences love her. Her personal story touches many lives. Born on a farm in eastern Pennsylvania, one of seven children, she lost her father to lung cancer at age 11. Life was a constant struggle, love was scarce, and a deep poverty mentality pervaded everyone and everything. She understands the deep yearning for more, for better. She has found it and wants you to find it as well.

Joan is living her dream as the semi-retired CEO of The Wealth Project, Inc. on beautiful James Island near Charleston, SC where she gets to enjoy life with her husband, her children, and grandchildren.
